I'm Ricardo
Psychology graduate, explorer and fairly curious.
Home / About me

I'm interested in a simple question, although the more I chase it, the more complicated it gets:
What are we, and what can we become?
My path has taken me through psychology, psychedelics, philosophy, spirituality, meditation and the exploration of consciousness. Not because I believe any one of these disciplines holds all the answers, but precisely because none of them has seemed enough on its own.
RILOFU was born at that crossroads.
Between psychology and consciousness
I studied Psychology and Criminology and later kept training in different approaches related to personal development, consciousness and human experience.
But my training hasn't happened only in classrooms.
It has also happened in hours-long conversations, meditating, travelling, taking part in communities, exploring non-ordinary states of consciousness, accompanying experiences and, above all, learning to live with the uncomfortable certainty that many of the things we think we know are far more complex than they seem.
Over time I found a territory that interested me in particular:
The space between the psychological, the scientific, the spiritual and the experiential.
And that's where RILOFU began to take shape.
What is RILOFU?
RILOFU doesn't claim to be a school, a religion or a collection of definitive answers.
It's a space to explore.
Sometimes through psychology. Sometimes through education. Sometimes through contemplation. And, in certain contexts, also through psychedelic exploration and its integration.
How I understand accompaniment
I don't think accompanying someone means telling them how they should live.
Nor do I think everything has to become a diagnosis, or that every extraordinary experience necessarily has a spiritual meaning. I try to stay somewhere in between:
Curiosity
without naivety.
Spirituality
without dogma.
Science
without reductionism.
Experience
without automatically turning it into truth.
When I accompany someone, my intention isn't to hand them a ready-made answer. It's to help them look more clearly at what they're living through and find their own answers.
Learn about the support I offerMy relationship with psychedelics

Psychedelics interest me because they can produce psychological, emotional, perceptual and existential experiences of enormous intensity.
But precisely for that reason I believe they need more than enthusiasm. We need to talk about context, preparation, risks, expectations, integration and critical thinking.
An experience can be deeply meaningful. It can also be confusing, difficult or simply strange. And not everything we feel during an experience has to automatically become a truth about ourselves or about the universe.
For me, one of the most interesting parts begins when the experience ends:
What do you do with what you've lived?
That's where integration comes in.
Psychology, consciousness and experience
RILOFU tries to get worlds that often live apart to talk to each other.
Psychology
To understand our mind and our behaviour.
Science
To tell apart what we know from what we're still investigating.
Consciousness
To explore our subjective experience.
Philosophy and spirituality
To ask ourselves questions that don't always have a simple empirical answer.
Psychedelics
As one of the possible ways of exploring non-ordinary states, always from a place of responsibility and harm reduction.
I don't need all these worlds to agree. What interests me is precisely the dialogue between them.

RILOFU also exists outside the consulting room
RILOFU isn't limited to one-to-one support. It's also a community.
I organise and take part in gatherings, conversation spaces, educational activities and experiences around psychology, consciousness and psychedelics.
And I'm developing new formats of retreats, immersive experiences and collective spaces to explore these subjects in a close, human way, without too much cosmic incense.
Because some things are better understood by talking to another person. And others, simply, by living them.
Discover the communityWhat I try to offer
I don't promise to transform you. I don't think anyone can.
What I can offer is a space to pause, observe what's going on and explore new perspectives.
Sometimes we need to understand. Sometimes we need to feel. Sometimes we need to question what we've taken for granted for years.
And sometimes we simply need to allow ourselves to have no bloody idea for a while. For me, that's part of the process too.
Welcome to RILOFU
If you've made it this far you probably have a question. About yourself. About your mind. About an experience you've had. About psychedelics. About consciousness. Or maybe simply about what the hell we're doing here.
You don't need to have it figured out to begin. We explore from there.
